The 5 main Brazilian commodities exported to Egypt

Brazil is Egypt's first trading partner in Latin American countries. Our country's relationship with Arab countries is prosperous despite the epidemic, and even an increase in trade volume for some markets has been observed.

The International Health Certificate (CSI) certified and approved in 2019, further warmed relations and exports of Brazilian milk and dairy products in Egypt. According to the Brazilian Federal Government's Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, in 2020 exports totaled US$ 1.75 billion. Placing Egypt in a new position of prominence in the Ranking of the main destinations of Brazilian exports, occupying the 29th place.

The relationship between Brazil and Egypt

Ambassador Ashraf Mounir, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Latin American Affairs, said that Brazil is Egypt's first trading partner in the countries of the South American continent, and it is worth remembering that the ministry is cooperating with the Ministries of Civil Aviation and Finance and EgyptAir to open a direct flight between Egypt and Brazil, both for freight transport.

Customs reductions give the countries a great competitive advantage when exporting or importing raw materials and production requirements in large quantities, apart from giving the final product manufactured in the two countries discounts and a competitive advantage in reducing the cost and price of the final product.

The agreement between the countries encourages the opening of new horizons and opportunities for economic cooperation in order to increase the volume of foreign investment and commercial exchange, and to stimulate tourism and travel, especially with the announcement of the launch of a direct airline that will be completed before or after the end of the pandemic.
