Every year, Brazil's participation in the international commerce has been growing, especially in the production of beef, pork, and chicken, as well as in the importation of chicken.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the expectation is that the national production of chicken meat will increase by 56.1%, with 20.3 million tons being produced in 2021 and 2022.
These estimates indicate that Brazil can maintain its position as the world's leading exporter of beef and chicken, also in the import of chicken to the Arab market.
The Ministry of Agriculture, through the Agricultural Defense Secretary, regulates and controls animal products to be exported, certifying their quality and safety.
Moreover, with the state secretaries of agriculture, the Federal Government promotes wide inspection, aiming at the conformity between the Brazilian industrial and sanitary inspection legislation and the health standards required by the importing country.
Quality Control
The health conditions of the animal are rigorously verified, through periodic veterinary medical monitoring and proof of vaccination and laboratory tests legally required.
The International Health Zoos Certificate (CZI), issued by the Department of Animal Health, of the Department of Agricultural Defense of the Ministry of Agriculture, comes to attest to animal health and is issued after sanitary inspection or examinations for diagnosis of diseases.
The brazilian federal government's care regarding the products exported to the world market is irrefutable, but state care alone is not enough.
Demands of Saudi Arabia
In May 2021, Saudi Arabia suspended half of the number of poultry meat processing plants in Brazil qualified to export, because the banned companies had exceeded limits and microbiological standards established in the Technical Regulation.
The care regarding the export process of agricultural commodities does not only come from the Federal Government, in Brazil there are competent, serious and committed companies.
But for that it is necessary to make sure that the process is being carried out by loyal and tireless corporations as to the standards of biological safety and foreign logistics, in order to mitigate the risks of each step of the operation.
Such corporations must have experienced specialists who take care of the thorough biological, legal and operational steps masterfully. In addition, of course, of loyal producers who comply with the legislation and regulations of the Technical Regulation.
